Thursday - Levels Raceway Fun
Bring youre friends and join us for a whole lot of fun on Levels Raceway. Book your slot/s to complete 6 laps of Levels Raceway with your friends and family in your vehicle. We have three different groups so that like cars are cruising with like cars. (If you own a Morris Minor you wont be cruising with a Mustang). Book your slot to suit your vehicle to have the most fun on the day. All vehicles taking part must be the vehicles you are entering in the Show and Shine, they must be warranted and registered. If you do not have seatbelts for everyone in your vehicle you will automatically be taking part in the slower vehicles cruise. Please read all the information in the Levels section of our website, there are rules and if you don't adhere to them you will be removed from the whole event. We want everyone to be safe and have fun.
Friday - Geraldine.nz Cruise
Leaving Caroline Bay from 11am on Friday 18 March 2022, join us for a leisurely cruise to the picturesque town of Geraldine.(included in vehicle registration cost).
Geraldine, nestled in the foothills of the Southern Alps, enjoys a warm micro climate and has been billed by the Lonely Planet Guide as the “loveliest town in New Zealand” so make sure you get there to soak up everything the town has to offer.
Following your scenic countryside drive you will arrive in town to a dedicated parking area close to the centre of the town, where you can picnic with your vehicle or enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the many delicious cafes. Then take a wander along the tree-lined streets to browse the boutiques specialising in everything from giftware to crafts, fashion and quality homewares. The town is renowned for its art scene and boasts a number of galleries or you can choose to visit an artist in their studio.
On Cruising Friday there will be live music on the Village Green, Geraldine Auto Restorations will open their doors so you can catch a sneak peek of recent restorations and their hall of fame. The highly acclaimed Vintage Car and Machinery Museum is also a must-visit attraction. A riverside walk or a stroll through Talbot Forest is a great way to round off your time in this gem of a town.
Friday Night - Main Street Cruise
Leaving Caroline Bay at 5.30pm Friday 18th March 2022 (Included in vehicle registration cost).Join us for a cruise of our local main streets. Starting from the bay, cruise up and down the main street of Timaru, then out to Pleasant Point and from there to Temuka. Enjoy the waving crowds and the beautiful countryside as you take a short tour of our district. This is a highlight each year with enthusiastic crowds lining the streets to view hundreds and hundreds of vehicles. We finish in Temuka with the "Rock and Stop" where you can stop and enjoy the atmosphere or you can drive through and head back to Timaru. Park up (if your one of the first vehicles you can park on the main street otherwise you will need to park on the side streets) and take a wander around the cars and people.
Please be aware that in places the cruise can go slowly, especially entering Temuka if your vehicle overheats you may wish to wait until the end of the cruise or park up and wander into town.
You will not be able to access the main street of Timaru without your registration sticker, please make sure it is on your window screen, thanks.
Friday Night - Rock and Roll with Che Orton
Open to the public and registered participants, bookings essential. Come and party with us after the cruise. Get your Rock and Roll shoes on because you are going to want to dance, dance , dance. This is going to be a great night and we expect tickets to sell out so order yours quickly The party goes until late so you wont miss out if you meander in after the cruise. Come and start your weekend out with a bang.
Saturday Show and Shine Gala Day:
Saturday(included in vehicle registration cost)Saturday is the big Rock and Hop Gala day. Along with the cars on display at Caroline Bay there will be a Rock and Roll extravaganza with dancers, funky stalls, best dressed, lots of competitions, a bar, bands and plenty of entertainment, the atmosphere is fantastic. We finish with the vehicle prize giving, then our $10,000 lucky ticket draw which sells out so make sure you buy yours early.
Saturday Night - Rock your Socks Off Party
Open to the public and registered participants, bookings essential. Come party the night away at the Caroline Bay Hall . We have a great night planned for all of you party people, dance, drink and have a ball. You will love the music from band Shalow and the atmosphere. Come along and let your hair down in style.
We have listened to your feedback and will not be having the Marquee this year so tickets will be strictly limited, get yours early.
Also happening on Saturday night If you're not one of the “Rock Your Socks Off” ticket holders don’t despair, there will be plenty to see and do in Timaru. Take a wander into town and enjoy a meal at one of our fabulous restaurants, or pop into one of our local bars and enjoy a chat with our friendly locals. Our timaru Rock and Roll club will also be hosting a dance, find them on facebook (timaru RnR Dance Club) for details.
Sunday - Bacon and Eggs on the Bay:
Join us back iown the bay for a scrumption breakfast of Bacon, Eggs, Baked Beans, Hash Browns and Toast before heading off home or cruising with us.
Cruise with us to the old victorian precinct in Oamaru. If you get in early you will be able to book tickets for a tour of the Riverstone Castle. This is a lovely relaxed way to finish the weekend.
Early bird registration We are limiting the number of cars so don't be disappointed. Get in early with your registration. Book your "Surfing USA" and "Rock Your Socks Off" tickets at the same time, you don't want to miss out on either. Please choose your tickets carefully as there will be no refunds on tickets, however you are more than welcome to transfer them but please let us know the details of the new ticket holders.
